Self-Guided Visit
Book NowSelf-guided school visitors are welcome to enjoy a journey through time to discover the epic story of transport and social change at the Ulster Transport Museum. You will be met on arrival and given a welcome and orientation that will help your pupils understand more about the museum before they explore what’s on offer. With the help of a site map for teachers, you can plan your route to connect to themes relevant to your area of study.

In Gallery A (Top building)
- Board some of our large locomotives in the rail gallery
- Visit the Titanic gallery and learn about one of the most famous maritime disasters in the world, by examining objects and using the interactives
- Enjoy the cobbled streets of the tram gallery, and explore a very different world of public transport
In Gallery B (bottom building)
- Discover one of our newest acquisitions, in our road racing gallery with new racing motorbikes
- Discover a world before cars were commonplace in ‘On the Hoof’
- Try out our green screen jet ski and tractor, in Celtic Wave and Innovation!
