Into Innovation
Book NowWith a dedicated guide, discover the stories of some of our homegrown innovators in our new Museum of Innovation gallery at the Transport Museum. Starting with a short object-handling session, learners will look at some innovations that we use every day, and how they have evolved and changed over time.
Then, in this interactive tour led by our Education team, your pupils will discover how some iconic and world-changing inventions like the DeLorean DMC-12, the pneumatic tyre, and the portable defibrillator developed. They’ll get an insight into the visionary people who turned ideas into reality and consider the challenges and opportunities they faced. They’ll also find out about our changing Innovator in Focus pod, which features new and modern innovators. This section aims to excite and inspire, allowing children and young people to imagine themselves in the role of innovators of the future.
After your tour, you can take away our Innovation resource to explore the gallery in more detail or to complete back in class.
